Well this was a (semi) eventful weekend. I went to my grandparent's house... but that's not the cool/funny/scary/fourth adjective part (except for maybe that I got my Fight Club DVD right before I went and watched it on the way there).
Well me and Rebecca (basically my sister... kinda) went and saw Jackass Number Two. It was good, really funny, especially the Phil switch part. And the terrorist taxi part. And the see-saw rodeo part. And the rocket part. And the... you get the picture. There was nothing too gross either... except maybe the horse part...
I'm ashamed of you too Chris Pontius.
But anyways after the movie the scary part of the weekend happened, I was in car crash.
We were sitting in the car, turning right, listening to Dane Cook ("SEEEEAAATBEEELTS.... BAAAAAACKSEEEAAAT... GAS-O-LINE-IS-MY-BLOOD"). When all of a sudden there was a large thump, followed by a shifting forward, followed by about ten seconds of "WHAT JUST HAPPENED?".
You know what happened? We were just rear-ended. And it wasn't our fault, we stopped and were turning, and then we were hit, they forgot to slow down enough.
Followed by forty-five minutes of phone calls, bickering, police men, broken tail lights, and curious faces.
The four things I noticed the most was that time slowed down, the lighting all of a sudden changed and was almost like the mood lighting they have for car chases in movies, the fact that everyone tries to make themselves the victim, and that the only thing you notice about the cars driving by are the people looking out, hoping that this car crash is better than the last they saw, hoping that maybe someone actually got hurt so it can be a morbid thrill.
When in Rome.
Well anyways, I'm all right, my knee is sore, my neck hurts and my arms are tense, but I'm okay, so is Rebecca (just her neck is sore). The car on the other hand... the back-left tail light is broken (just the cover) and the bumper is bent in. The other car was a huge truck with on of those front bumpers with the gates about twenty feet (exaggeration) tall. NOTHING happened to it.
Well besides the wrecking of Rebecca's car... the only other bad thing this weekend is that A&M lost... and THEY SHOULDN'T HAVE. I don't usually get involved with football games, but that made me mad, there was on call that they should have re---
I'm gonna stop there. I'm starting to sound like my dad.
BUH-DUM-CHIK!
