Here are my top movies and games of 2006:
MOVIES:
5. X-Men: The Last Stand.
While not nearly as good as the first two, really finishes things off (if of course this is the last installment... which would be fine with me). Not many sequels can people see without seeing the first entires in the series... but this one of them.
4. The Prestige.
Whiel I have not seen this movie yet, all I have heard from friends is that it is awesome... so I include it.
3. Snakes on a Plane.
If you go into expecting a good thriller/serious action movie, you will be vastly dissapointed, but if you go in wanted to have a good time you'll come out of the experience... having a good time.
2. Casino Royale.
A triumphant return for the Bond series after the horrible "Die Another Day". Excellent.
AND THE WINNER IS:
Little Miss Sunshine.
Already my fifth favorite movie of all time, it's funny and sad and smartly directed with an awesome score.
GAMES:
5. Dead Rising.
Zombies... that's pretty much it.
4. Line Rider.
While not a game (technically) good enough and addicting enough to be put on here.
3. Gears of War.
My first impression of this game was that it was all hype, and that there was no was it could be the "deus ex machina" for the 360 that it claimed to be, but after playing it, I realized while it was no "god from the machine" it was still pretty great.
2. The Legend of Zelda: Twlight Princess.
Once again, like "The Prestige", something I haven't experienced myself, but just because of that fact that it is a Zelda game... it deserves a spot.
AND THE WINNER IS:
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
I HATE RPGs... but for some reason I LOVE this game, addicting, mixing certain RPG elments with first person shooter elements, it will suck you in and steal your life... in fact it's still borrowing mine right now...
Well, in the next couple days I will bring the best of T.V., music, tech, news, and the best things ever of '06. Ever.
