Here is the second part of my "Top Stuff of 2006". In this edition, television and tech:
TELEVISION:
5. Deal or No Deal.
I know it seems a little bit odd to put a game show as one of the best shows, but seriously, no game show has been this good and this nerve wracking... since "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?", and this is probably more so.
4. The Colbert Report.
The first year of "The Colbert Report" was excellent, but with the second season the show is really becoming one of the better comedy shows on television.
3. The Office.
Just starting watching this show, and it is very good. Funny and interesting direction.
2. LOST.
I know I might be prejudice here but this show really, in my opinion, is getting more and more interesting.
AND THE WINNER IS:
Scrubs.
Now I KNOW I am prejudice here, but seriously, if you can watch this show and not laugh out loud at least once, you might have a brain tumor... (side note: sorry to anyone reading this who has brain tumors.)
TECH:
5. PlayStation 3.
Now you guys know I'm making up for my bias in the T.V. section with this, but while I may think that Sony happens to have the worst marketing strategy ever ("Our product is... to KILL for!"), and while the PS3 has yet to see any good games, it is still an impressive piece of tech (even though it would have been better with the original controller design... that way once I got my Wii I could fight crime!).
4. Parallels.
This neat little device lets you run Windows and OS X on your Mac, which is kinda redudant seeing as that probably after installing it you wouldn't be able to use Windows a week later due to the 1,237,863,442 viruses you will get.
3. Windows Vista.
New operating system with slightly less bugs, that fact alone deserves it a spot.
2. Blu-Ray.
While I am PISSED that pretty soon I will have to rebuy all my DVDS, at least now I will be able to watch the movies I already had in slightly better quality.
AND THE WINNER IS:
Wii.
How could I have not put the Wii on the top spot, hopefully this system will bring my parents as close to games as they were when we used to play Super Mario 64 (prolly not). The only problem with the Wii is that buying means buying a new T.V.... and a new vase... and you might have to buy a couple new windows...
