Yipee Ki-Yay Mother F***er!

This Easter weekend I rented some movies (and saw two others that my mom rented), the following is the review of those movies.

Die Hard 2: Die Harder!:

Has there ever been a more spectacular subtitle than "Die Harder"? Maybe if they made "Die Hardest" or "Die Ever Harder" of "Die Hardier", even though that sounds like a soup. But anyways, it stars Bruce Willis, and while it's no where as good as the first, it is pretty good. In this sequel John McClane is back saving an airport instead of a tower. (Rated R for Cussing and Violence)

Army Of Darkness!:

Starring Bruce Campbell, this movie is like a cross between a horror movie, Three Stooges, any Medieval War film ever, and that one guy you knew from High School that was really stupid but was too arrogant to know it. It's about a poor guy, Ash, who gets thrust back in time to deal with some evil dead monster things. Some pretty funny stuff, and in my opinion a lot better than Evil Dead 2 (which is mainly just f***ed up). (Rated R for Cussing, Violence, and Terror)

(And now onto some more recent films):

Children Of Men!:

Starring Clive Owen, Children Of Men is possibly the only dystopic future sci-fi film that has actually frightened me. There is a scene where this one lady (who looks like a dike) gets pulled off of a bus (don't want to tell why, SPOILER), but what you see her being taken to, this... almost torture facility, is extremely disturbing. It's set in 2027, and the youngest person in the world is 18, when one girl becomes pregnant for the first time in nearly two decades, Clive Owen tries to help her get out of a London about to fall apart. Top notch sets and camera work in this one, I can't believe it didn't get more attention at the Oscars. (Rated R for Cussing, Violence and Some Nudity)

(And now the two my mom rented):

The Pursuit Of Happyness!:

I think everyone has heard about this film, about the guy who has nothing and becomes a stock broker. Starring Will Smith, this movie will emotionally beat the s*** out of you. You'll feel tired after watching. There aren't really many jokes I can say about this film, but it is really good. (Rated PG-13 for Cussing)

Over the Hedge!:

My mom rented this for my little second cousins that were over this weekend, and while I was taking care of the youngest, he wanted to watch this, so I put it in and expected to just ignore the movie (seeing as most kid movies nowadays or stupid and only get laughs out of the kids by being stupid). But what I got was actually a good FAMILY (not kid) movie. While it has physical humor and two jokes about body parts that I won't mention, it also has some good satire and one-liners. It stars Bruce Willis. (Rated PG for Rude Humor)

And I WAS going to wathc The Illusionist, but some jerk who last had the movie aparently felt like... scratching the disk against a brick wall, because it will not play, so instead, I will review it and Grindhouse (which I'm seeing this Friday), this next weekend.

So, tata for now.
